MONEY DOESN’T BUY HAPPINESS – GRATITUDE DOES!

What is Emotional Wealth, and why focus on it? There has been a lot of talk about the Law of Attraction, typically applied in order to magnetize more physical wealth. Through my own experience, and working with clients from all over the world during the last 20 years, I have learned that the old adage “money doesn’t buy happiness” is true. Why do most of us still insist on pursuing material affluence? Instead, we could take the short cut, go straight for the reward: joy! Ultimately, isn’t what we all crave for an expression of positive emotions, whether it be contentment, inner peace, gratitude, freedom, love, joy or even bliss.

To see the sun, the clouds need to move aside. To realize our true nature, we have to release negativity. Every time we achieve this feat and align with who we truly are, we grasp the real treasure of our quest: Emotional Wealth.

  REMOVE NEGATIVITY AT THE ROOT

“When Epicurus defined happiness as the supreme good, he warned his disciples that it is hard work to be happy. Material achievements alone will not satisfy us for long. Indeed, the blind pursuit of money, fame and pleasure will only make us miserable,” writes Yuval Noah Harari in “Homo Deus”. Yet, we insist on pursuing this futile path regardless. A fancier car, a bigger house, the coveted promotion or trophy, a date with that notorious beauty or the bachelor of the year… How long will the elation last?

I am sure I don’t have to tell you, as you have experienced it again and again. Once you attain the goal you have worked for so hard, you enjoy it for a little while. Then comes the inevitable question: What next? What will it take this time to give us that high? Because, let’s face it, it will have to be bigger and better.

And so we get trapped in the hamster wheel, believing we are moving forward, or upward, when in fact we are spinning the wheels in a stressful race to an illusionary mountain peak that, as soon as we reach it, loses its lustre. In the course of this pursuit, we often forget who we are. We become automatons, narrow-mindedly racing after an evasive carrot while forgetting our humanness, our connection to others and to earth. How else to explain the sheer stupidity of our actions? The destruction of our environment – our planet, the one home we have and share. The neglect of meaningful relationships and community. The cut-throat, dog eat dog approach to life which we wrongly believe to be ruled by the law of the jungle and scarcity. We miss the fact that nature is inherently generous and abundant.

I won’t go into what I sense to be the reason for this wrong thinking, except to say that our minds are infected with powerful viruses that distort reality to the point of non-recognition. Our values are twisted. Our beliefs are dysfunctional to a large extent. Our thoughts often border on madness, our emotions are based on fear and our ensuing actions create the tangible proofs of this hallucination.

MY PROPOSITION – EMOTIONAL WEALTH

What I propose to you is Emotional Wealth. Not in the form of short-lived pleasure, as pleasures lead to misery, not to joy. In order to rediscover the latter – do you remember when you were a child and cheerfulness seemed the rule, not the exception? – we have to get the clouds out of the way. They mainly take the form of misleading thoughts and dark emotions. Rather than continuing to live according to the values we adopted mostly unconsciously from our family and environment as well as the media, we have to consciously define our own. Instead of leading our lives based on outdated and destructive beliefs, we should feed our subconscious mind with empowering ones. This is not a recipe for short-lived fun, but to lasting equanimity and eventually to a state of grace.

HEALTHY MIND, HEALTHY BODY

As a by-product of feeling more positive, we are also healthier physically. Stressful emotions create damaging hormones in the body while uplifting ones put our nervous system into a state of coherence, strengthen the immune system and improve the functioning of the cells. At the spiritual level, the higher emotional octaves align us with the divine, in whatever form that may take for you. One cannot be despondent or jealous and vibrate at a high frequency at the same time.

These are my reasons for centring the work with my clients around Emotional Wealth. In a nutshell, it represents the ascendance from the lower vibrational, fear-based realm to higher, more beneficial love-based frequencies. To achieve this transformation, I make use of a plethora of methods ranging from pre-historic shamanic and ancient temple practices to cutting-edge Energy-Psychology and Neurological Repatterning. I use these methods intuitively to remove the blockages that prevent you from being who you truly are. I call this approach Transformational Coaching and Healing. It could have many other names, but in reality that matters much less than what you, my client, get out of it. The benefits you reap are the validation of my approach that I refined over the last 20 years.

This work is not for the faint of heart. It’s not about “trying” something new. It’s for people who are serious about turning their lives around, regardless of the area they want to focus on, and who don’t want to return to where they have been. It’s for those who desire love, abundance, generosity and gratitude. Let me know if you feel that you are ready to dance with me!

Because: There is only the dance.
