5 Tibetan Rite

The aging process can be reversed! Some 2500 years ago, Tibetan monks developed the 5 Tibetan Rites, a continuous sequence of movement that can be performed in as little as 10 minutes. It was not uncommon for them to live to be 120 years of age, while still enjoying exceptional health! Rediscovered in the 1930’s and brought to India and then Europe, this precursor of yoga gained great popularity in the West in the 90’ies. Now, the 5 Tibetan Rites are back in India!

5 Tibetian Rites

The 5 Tibetan Rites is the one exercise program I have been following continuously over the last 25 years. For one because it takes only ten minutes to complete the Rites. It is not necessary to attend a class every time you want to practice this precursor to yoga. In one 60 to 90 minute class, you learn the Rites. You can then practice them anywhere; all you need is enough space to lie down and something to lie on. The ease with which you can incorporate the 5 Tibetans into your daily routine, regardless of where you are and what you are doing, will turn you into an adept too! Even the person with the busiest schedule will find ten minutes in the morning in order to feel better for the rest of the day!

“I had a back and knee problem for the past three years that just wouldn’t heal… After a month of the Tibetan rites performed daily, I have forgotten that I ever had a problem…it’s just strange, it’s disappeared. Also I realized how much more serene, happy and healthier I feel from inside. I can’t thank you enough for making me discover this practice.”

The 5 Tibetan Rites consists of five simple, yet very effective exercises that align body, mind and spirit. You will gain more flexibility and strength, especially in your joints and core muscles. The latter help to keep you upright and protect your spine, especially your low back. By breathing deeply into each posture, emotions that were trapped in your body come to the surface to be released. You will feel calmer and more centered throughout the day. Did you know that you cannot have a straight upper back with your shoulder pushed back, and be depressed at the same time? Your physiology impacts your inner state. Proper breathing and harmonizing your heart with your brain will help you be more focused throughout the day. Your chakras will open up and be more balanced, therefore supporting your hormonal system and preventing disease.

The 5 Tibetans are for every age, from children to seniors. Don’t let a physical limitation hold you back; we can work around it. Over time, as you practice the Rites, your range of motion and the state of your health in general will improve.

To enhance the Rites, we follow them with a Light Meditation which you will also get to practice in the same class. The Light Meditation can be done in a few minutes as well, or you can extend it into a powerful, long meditation, depending on your situation and needs. It will allow even more light into your body, helping to protect you from harmful energies. You will practice sending healing light out into the world. This constitutes a great way to practice receiving and giving, therefore staying in the flow of abundance in a balanced manner.

I recommend clients attend a refresher class a few weeks into their practice to iron out the kinks that invariably creep in. That’s it! Then you just keep doing the 5 Tibetan Rites on a daily basis to fully enjoy their benefits! Easy as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!

“I have been doing the Tibetan Rite every day. Practicing it daily is making me feel more centered and happier. There’s more clarity of thought and expression and it has been helping me feel calmer and lighter.”

“I have been doing the Tibetan Rites for the last couple of days and have been feeling really good about it. I had in fact been looking for a compact exercise regimen that would keep me fit and this fits the bill beautifully.” Suma Varughese, Editor-in-Chief “Life Positive”, India
